IRGC Strikes 'Illegally Passing' Oil Tanker in Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has claimed that an oil tanker attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz was struck by their forces, bringing it to a halt.

The Togo-flagged vessel, named 'Trend,' caught fire after being hit and is now under control of the IRGC navy. The force accused the tanker of trying to cross the strait illegally, following what they described as provocation by the U.S. Army.

In a statement published on Sepah News, the IRGC's official news outlet, the navy warned that attempting illegal passage through the waterway will lead to 'destruction.' They emphasized their strength in controlling the Strait of Hormuz and vowed not to let any 'aggressor' pass through.
