IRGC Targets Oil Tankers in Strait of Hormuz Despite US Claims
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has targeted at least seven oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz over the past five days, according to a report by Fars news agency.
The IRGC Navy has been targeting oil tankers despite US President Donald Trump's claims that 'the Strait of Hormuz is open and under his country's control.'
Citing MenchOsint, an independent military observer, Fars reported that two oil tankers were exploded in the Strait of Hormuz on October 2.
The vessels targeted included Kuwaiti tankers Al FUNTAS and KAZIMAH III, as well as three United Arab Emirates vessels: SINBAD, MERSIN PROSPERITY, and AL RUWAIS.
US President Trump stated that the war with Iran would end 'very quickly' and predicted oil prices would fall sharply once the conflict was over.
