Israel Emerges as Potential Security Partner for Strained Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is facing mounting pressure from Iran-backed forces as Houthi attacks and shipping disruptions strain its security and oil exports.

The kingdom's recent defense pact with Turkey and Pakistan has not produced military assistance, according to a Times of Israel analysis.

Riyadh has also been denied Saudi requests for strikes on the Houthis by Washington.

Despite this, there are indications that Israel could emerge as a quiet security partner, potentially sharing intelligence and defensive technology with Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia and Israel both view Iran and the Houthis as threats, although normalization remains tied to the Palestinian issue.
