The Italian soft wheat flour industry is experiencing significant growth in exports, particularly in the United States. According to ITALMOPA, the Italian Association of Millers, the first half of 2026 saw a 14.83% increase in exports compared to the same period in 2025, totaling 202,654 tons.

This surge puts year-end projections on track to reach 400,000 tons, with the US leading the export rankings after recording a record +38.42% growth during this period. The country surpassed France (+9.22%), Germany (+11.11%), and Spain (+23.1%) in exports.

The Italian organization attributes this success to their attention to detail in selecting high-quality wheat, exceptional milling techniques, and expertise that meets premium market requirements abroad.
