Japan Donates $3 Million in Gas Equipment to Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is set to receive a $3 million grant from Japan in the form of 90 modern gas distribution stations. The equipment, provided by Japanese company ITO Corporation, will help upgrade Uzbekistan’s gas supply infrastructure. Hududgazta’minot JSC, the Uzbek state-owned company involved in the project, announced that the stations will be delivered free of charge this year.
Specialists from both countries are currently surveying potential installation sites, assessing the technical condition of existing gas networks, and ensuring safe and efficient integration of the new equipment. The project aims to stabilize gas pressure in regional networks, improve supply reliability, and optimize energy resource usage.
The initiative is part of a broader collaboration between Uzbekistan and Japan to modernize gas infrastructure and introduce advanced technologies. The upgrade is expected to enhance the stability and safety of natural gas supplies for consumers across the country.
