Japan donates $3 million in gas infrastructure upgrades to Uzbekistan
Japan is supporting Uzbekistan’s gas infrastructure with a $3 million grant, providing 90 modern gas distribution stations to upgrade the country’s supply network. According to Uzbekistan’s Hududgazta’minot, the equipment is valued at approximately $3 million and will be delivered free of charge as part of a grant by the end of this year. The project is a collaboration between Uzbek gas company Hududgazta’minot and Japan’s ITO Corporation, marking another step in their long-term cooperation.
Specialists are currently surveying the areas where the new gas distribution stations will be installed, assessing the technical condition of existing gas networks and identifying suitable locations for the equipment. Uzbek and Japanese experts are working together to finalize technical requirements and recommendations for safe installation. The initiative aims to stabilize gas pressure in the regions, improve the reliability of gas supplies, and promote more efficient use of energy resources.
The installation of modern gas distribution stations is expected to strengthen the ability to provide consumers with a stable and safe supply of natural gas. This project is part of broader Uzbekistan-Japan cooperation focused on modernizing the country’s gas infrastructure and introducing advanced technologies.
