Japan Stocks Slide Amid Rising Yields and Oil Prices
Japanese stocks continued their decline on Tuesday as rising bond yields and oil prices fueled concerns about inflation and higher borrowing costs.
The Nikkei 225 fell 0.60% to close at 65,481.27, while the broader Topix slid 1.72% to 4,041.13.
The selling intensified as government bond yields in major markets climbed to multi-year highs, putting further pressure on equities.
Japanese government bond yields also approached their highest levels in decades, adding to the pressure on domestic shares.
