JI Leader Slams Government Over Aircraft Purchase Amid Economic Woes
Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has expressed discontent over the government's handling of Pakistan's economic situation. Speaking at a sit-in protest in Lahore, he criticized the government for prioritizing an expensive aircraft purchase amidst rising living costs.
The Rs11 billion aircraft purchase is seen as extravagant by many, especially when the public is already facing financial difficulties. Hafiz Naeem emphasized that citizens are struggling to manage their expenses due to inflation and economic pressures.
He also criticized the government's decision to allow wheat exports, claiming it has contributed to higher wheat prices and added to the burden on ordinary families.
