Jindal Stainless and Indian Oil Extend Lubricant Supply Pact for Five Years
Jindal Stainless and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) have extended their lubricant supply partnership for another five years, reinforcing their collaboration in industrial lubrication and energy supplies. The renewed Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) agreement, signed at Jindal Stainless’ Hisar facility in Haryana, aims to ensure manufacturing continuity, enhance lubrication management, and strengthen technical cooperation.
Abhyuday Jindal, Managing Director of Jindal Stainless, emphasized the significance of the long-term partnership, stating that the extension would allow both companies to explore further technical cooperation in response to evolving industrial needs. The agreement also covers additional energy supplies, including light diesel oil (LDO), high-speed diesel (HSD), low-sulphur heavy stock (LSHS), and propane, alongside IOCL’s SERVO® lubricants portfolio.
Hemant Rathore, Executive Director of Indian Oil, described the renewal of the Consumer’s Operated Lube Depot (COLD) agreement as a key milestone, highlighting the benefits of reliable energy supplies and high-performance lubricants for demanding industrial applications. The partnership is expected to deliver mutual advantages, including supply reliability, technical support, and operational efficiency.
The VMI arrangement is particularly crucial for large-scale manufacturing facilities, as consistent lubricant availability is essential for maintaining machinery performance and minimizing operational disruptions. For Jindal Stainless, the agreement ensures continuity in sourcing specialized lubricants and energy products, while Indian Oil solidifies its position as a leading industrial supplier.
