Manufacturers and industry representatives in Jordan have welcomed the government's efforts to expand natural gas infrastructure to industrial zones, saying it will help reduce production costs, improve competitiveness, and attract investment.

The rollout of natural gas stations is part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing energy costs by 35-60% in industrial cities and clusters across the Kingdom. The goal is to strengthen the industrial sector, improve the national economy's competitiveness, and support environmental sustainability.

Chief Business Development Officer Mohammad Hassan Sumadi said the project reflects efforts to remove obstacles facing manufacturers and provide conditions for industrial growth. He noted that Jordanian industry has demonstrated its ability to access regional and international markets and emphasized the need for continued investment in infrastructure, reliable energy supplies, and a more competitive business environment.

Industry representatives also highlighted the benefits of natural gas as a cleaner source of energy compared to conventional fuels, which will help reduce carbon emissions and support sustainable energy objectives. They called for accelerating the extension of natural gas infrastructure to industrial cities and clusters across the Kingdom to allow more manufacturers to benefit from lower-cost energy.
