Jordanian Gold Prices Rise Amid Global Market Volatility
The price of 21-karat gold in Jordan has increased to JD103.60 per gram for sales at jewelry shops, compared to JD98.90 for purchases.
This represents a significant rise amid weak supply and demand, according to Rebhi Allan, President of the General Syndicate for Owners of Trading Shops and Gold and Jewelry Goldsmiths.
The prices for 24-karat and 18-karat gold for purchase from jewelry shops stood at JD118.80 and JD92.30 per gram respectively.
Allan noted that the global market saw a weekly trading session close on Friday at $5,106 per ounce, with prices rising by $150 during Thursday and Friday's sessions.
