Kaoko Metals' Copper Shares Soar 390% on Positive Drill Results
Kaoko Metals Ltd (ASX: KAO) is an ASX copper explorer that has seen its shares skyrocket 390% since its May IPO. On Wednesday, the company's stock price closed at $1.85 after gaining a staggering 151.7%. This remarkable move has catapulted the company's market capitalization to near $66 million.
The recent success can be attributed to the positive results from the Chalkos Copper-Silver Project in northwestern Namibia, where two drill holes intersected broad zones of visible copper mineralisation. One of the drill holes returned 60.25 meters of mineralisation, including a stronger 32.36 meter zone within it.
However, investors are advised to exercise caution as no assay results have been reported yet, and until they arrive, the entire gain remains speculative. The company's management considers the geological setting comparable to the Central African copper systems, but further confirmation is needed.
