Karachi Flour Prices Skyrocket Amid Wheat Price Surge

Karachi's residents are facing another price hike in flour due to an increase in wheat prices, according to ARY News. The rise in wheat prices has led to a surge in flour prices, with fine flour and No. 2.5 flour experiencing the highest increases.

The price of No. 2.5 flour has risen by Rs15 per kilogram, taking its rate at flour mills to Rs145 per kilogram. The retail price has also increased to Rs160 per kilogram. Fine flour has become Rs13 more expensive per kilogram, with the flour mills' rate reaching Rs155 per kilogram.

The retail market is now selling fine flour for up to Rs175 per kilogram. Chakki flour prices have also increased by Rs10 per kilogram, making it available at up to Rs180 per kilogram. Wheat prices have risen by Rs15 per kilogram, pushing its price to Rs130 per kilogram.
