Karoon Energy Slashes Production Guidance Amid Bana Operations Disruption

Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR) has reduced its 2026 production guidance following another operational issue at its Bana oil operations in Brazil.

The latest disruption adds to earlier production challenges affecting both Bana and the Who Dat asset in the Gulf of Mexico.

Karoon's difficulties are not limited to Brazil, as it has also experienced significant operational issues at Who Dat in the Gulf of Mexico, with earlier production guidance for the asset reduced due to problems involving the E manifold, a seabed infrastructure hub connecting wells to surface facilities.

The company now expects its full-year production guidance to be between 6.6 and 7.2 million barrels of oil equivalent, down from the previous range of 7.2 to 8.2 million barrels.
