Karpowership Completes Seven-Vessel LNG Carrier Conversion Program

Karpowership has completed its seven-vessel LNG carrier-to-FSRU conversion program, finishing with the delivery of the LNGT Türkiye.

The seventh and final FSRU was handed over to Karpowership at Seatrium's Admiralty Yard during a naming and sailaway ceremony. The two companies have been working together on this project since 2018.

According to Alvin Gan, Executive Vice President of Repairs and Upgrades at Seatrium, the company has delivered over 90% of the world's FSU and FSRU conversions.

Karpowership will use the seven FSRUs in its integrated LNG-to-power value chain, supplying feed gas to floating power plants across four continents. The company currently operates a fleet of 45 Powerships with a total installed capacity exceeding 8,500 MW.
