Kazakhstan has become a crucial supplier of grain to Afghanistan in recent months. Grain exports from Kazakhstan to Afghanistan have increased by 57% over the past year, reaching 2.4 million tonnes.

The growth can be attributed to disruptions in traditional supply routes with Pakistan, which led Afghan traders to seek alternative channels through Central Asia and Iranian ports.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture estimates that the country has the capacity to export around 13 million tonnes of grain annually to international markets.
