Kazakhstan Oil Output Cut in Half After Terminal Closure
Kazakhstan's oil production has been severely impacted after the closure of its main exporting terminal in Russia's Black Sea due to drone attacks. An industry source revealed that the country, one of the world's top ten oil producers, saw a significant reduction in daily output.
The Kazakhstani Energy Ministry confirmed that oil companies had lowered their production due to export restrictions and pipeline loading operations were halted for safety reasons. The exact scale of the production cutbacks was not disclosed.
According to an industry source, Kazakhstan's oil and gas condensate output has more than halved from its average levels in June, equivalent to around 1 million barrels per day. The country's energy ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the latest data.
