Kazakhstan Sets Wheat Procurement Prices for 2026

Kazakhstan's government has set wheat procurement prices for the 2026 harvest at between 92,000 and 115,000 tenge ($209-$262) per ton, depending on quality. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin.

The price remains at last year's level, according to Zhumangarin. The procurement prices of the Food Contract Corporation serve as a market benchmark for grain traders and agricultural producers.

Financial support is provided through forward and direct grain procurement mechanisms, allowing farmers to cover production costs and prepare for the next season.
