Kazakhstan Targets 70% Share of Processed Agricultural Exports by 2030
Kazakhstan is transforming its agricultural sector by focusing on processing raw materials to create high-value products, according to the government's plans.
The country aims to increase the share of processed products in agricultural exports from 52% to 70% by 2030, with a target of bringing the indicator to 70% for main agricultural raw material processing by the end of 2026.
The government is providing financial and non-financial tools to support enterprises, including preferential financing, investment subsidies, tax preferences, stimulation of domestic raw material purchases, project support, and promotion of products in foreign markets.
In the grain sector, deep processing has led to a 2.2-fold growth in bioethanol production, with three specialized enterprises producing starch products, gluten, and bioethanol.
