Kazakhstan's KazMunayGas to Roll Out Digital Twins at 12 Oil Fields
Kazakhstan's state-owned oil and gas company KazMunayGas (KMG) plans to deploy digital twins at 12 of its oil fields by the end of 2028, covering more than 90% of the group's oil production.
The project aims to enable an additional 2.8 million tons of oil to be produced, with an estimated economic effect of 326 billion tenge (approximately $737.8 million).
KMG Chairman Askhat Khassenov noted that digital twins will help the company analyze data more accurately, reduce calculation times, and select solutions for further field development.
