Gold prices in Kerala rose on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, following the broader increase in bullion prices across India. The price of 24-karat gold stood at ₹15,535 per gram, while 22-karat gold was priced at ₹14,240 per gram. The rate for 18-karat gold remained at ₹11,651 per gram.

The rise in domestic gold prices coincided with the strength in the global precious metals market and a weaker US dollar, which supported demand for bullion. Despite a sharp increase in crude oil, currency movements and demand for non-yielding assets remained supportive during the session.

Kerala's 24-karat gold rate of ₹15,535 per gram was in line with rates quoted in several other major Indian cities, including Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Vijayawada, Nagpur, and Bhubaneswar. However, some cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai reported slightly higher prices.

Gold rates are indicative and may vary across jewelers and locations, excluding GST, making charges, TCS, and other applicable levies.
