The price of gold has increased in Kerala on Wednesday, with one gram of gold rising by Rs 80 and the price per sovereign increasing by Rs 640. The current price of one gram is Rs 14,135, while the price per sovereign is now at Rs 1,13,080. This increase follows a decline in the price per sovereign by Rs 1,040 earlier in the day.

The movements in the international market are primarily responsible for influencing gold prices in Kerala. Uncertainty over conflicts in West Asia and fluctuations in the US dollar are among the factors supporting gold prices globally. However, the possibility of higher interest rates continuing to rise in the current international market is exerting some pressure on the upward movement of gold prices.

The price of silver remains unchanged at Rs 255 per gram and Rs 2,550 per 10 grams.
