Kinder Morgan Boosts Pipeline Projects Amid Record LNG Demand
Kinder Morgan is advancing several natural gas pipeline projects to meet growing liquefied natural gas exports and Southeast power demand. The company's project backlog has expanded due to record LNG feed gas demand, lifting transport volumes across its network.
The midstream operator operates one of the largest natural gas pipeline networks in North America, connecting production regions with demand centers. Its asset base also includes refined products pipelines, bulk and liquids terminals, and a carbon dioxide transport and storage business.
Regulators have moved to speed up review timelines for several natural gas infrastructure projects given the scale of looming demand growth, helping Kinder Morgan's pipeline projects secure federal scheduling orders more quickly.
