Korea East-West Power Bolsters Direct LNG Import Base through Global Supply Agreements
Korea East-West Power has strengthened its direct LNG import base by signing agreements with three global suppliers.
The utility signed a spot trading master agreement and supply cooperation memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with SK Gas International, Glencore Singapore, and PTT International Trading at Gastech 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The agreements will allow Korea East-West Power to adjust procurement volumes and power generation operations in response to market conditions, improving fuel cost competitiveness and supply stability.
The company signed a master sales and purchase agreement (MSPA) with SK Gas International on Monday, giving it a foundation for purchasing LNG promptly in the spot market.
