Korea Invests Billions in US Energy Projects
Korea's massive energy investment in the US is expected to propel America towards energy dominance, according to President Donald Trump.
The $200 billion funding under the U.S.-Korea Trade and Investment Initiative includes a $54 billion commitment for the AK LNG pipeline project in Alaska, which will connect the state's North Slope gas fields to a liquefied natural gas export terminal in southern Alaska.
Trump hailed the project as 'one of the biggest energy projects in American history,' which is expected to decrease energy costs for Alaskan residents and create nearly 12,000 construction jobs and 1,000 operational jobs.
