South Korea's export of CCL (copper clad laminate) has surged by 42% as the country experiences an AI infrastructure boom. The growth is attributed to increased demand for advanced materials in the production of glass substrates, a critical component in artificial intelligence technology.

Lotte Energy Materials Corp., a leading South Korean battery materials maker, announced on Tuesday that it will supply advanced copper foil to Doosan Corp.'s business group (Doosan BG) for use in Nvidia's Blackwell. Lotte's copper foil plant in Iksan, North Jeolla province, is set to meet this growing demand.

The news comes as South Korea continues to invest heavily in its AI infrastructure, with many major tech companies setting up operations within the country. This trend is expected to drive further growth in the production and export of advanced materials such as CCL.
