The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has launched a wheat supply program to ensure affordable and quality flour for consumers. From July 27, 2026, 2,000 metric tonnes of government wheat will be provided daily to operational flour mills across the province.

The wheat will be supplied at Rs11,200 per 100kg, including gunny bags. The retail price of a 20kg flour bag has been fixed at Rs2,520, while the ex-mill price is Rs2,500. Daily wheat quotas have been allocated to districts based on population to prevent shortages.

The initiative aims to provide quality flour to consumers at affordable prices and stabilise market prices. Strict compliance with quality standards will be ensured, and flour mills are directed to retain at least 30 days of CCTV footage for transparency and monitoring.
