Ksi Lisims LNG Secures Long-Term Deal with Centrica Energy
Ksi Lisims LNG LP has made significant progress in its liquefied natural gas export facility plans, securing a long-term supply deal with Centrica Energy.
Under the agreement, British Gas's parent company will purchase one million tonnes of LNG per year for 20 years from the proposed floating export facility located on the northwest coast of B.C.
The project has been developed by Houston-based Western LNG, alongside Rockies LNG, a consortium of Canadian natural gas producers, and the Nisga'a Nation, whose lands the project will be built on.
The Centrica commitment brings the total agreements signed to nine million tonnes per year, covering nearly 75% of the planned capacity of 12 million tonnes annually.
