Kuwait Gold Market Defies Global Headwinds with Stable Prices
Kuwait's gold market is showing resilience despite global headwinds. The price of 24-karat gold in Kuwait reached around KD 40.800 per gram (approximately $132), while 22-karat gold was priced at around KD 37.400 per gram (approximately $121). One kilogram of silver sold for around KD 684 (approximately $2,222).
The local precious metal prices remain closely tied to international market movements, particularly fluctuations in gold prices driven by changes in monetary policies, energy prices, and geopolitical developments.
Globally, gold prices ended last week's trading at $4,054 per ounce, recording limited weekly gains after recovering from losses in the previous session. Markets remained cautious amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and rising global energy prices.
