L&T Lands Major EPC Contract for Kuwait Oil Storage Upgrade
Larsen & Toubro's Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore division has secured a major engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract from Kuwait Oil Company.
The project involves building six crude oil storage tanks with an operating capacity of 618,000 barrels each, as well as new pipelines and upgrades to the country's existing crude loading and export network.
The lump sum turnkey structure puts full delivery responsibility squarely on L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, which has a track record of delivering complex hydrocarbon projects across different sectors and geographies.
The contract is part of Kuwait's efforts to modernize and scale up its energy sector, with the aim of expanding storage and export capacity in line with growing production.
