LA and Orange County Gas Prices Rise for 32nd Straight Day Amid Middle East Oil Supply Concerns

Los Angeles County and Orange County gas prices have seen consecutive day increases for 32 days straight. According to AAA and Oil Price Information Service, LA County's average price of self-serve regular gasoline rose by 1.9 cents on Saturday to $6.184 per gallon, its highest amount since May 22. This represents a 54.2 cent increase over the past 32 days, including a 3 cent rise on Friday.

The Orange County average price also increased for the 32nd consecutive day by 1.8 cents to $6.16 per gallon, its highest amount since May 22. It has risen 58.5 cents over the past 32 days, including a 2.7 cent increase on Friday.

The national average price rose for the 19th time in 20 days by seven-tenths of a cent to $4.475 per gallon. Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, notes that this is the highest amount at this late point in the calendar year.
