LA Gas Prices Rise for Eleventh Straight Day Amid Ongoing Regional Tensions

LA County gas prices have increased for an eleventh consecutive day, reaching $5.683 per gallon of self-serve regular gasoline.

This is according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service, which also show that the average price has risen 27.8 cents over the past 11 days.

The increase began on February 28th, when a joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran sent oil prices higher.

Rising crude oil prices are behind the spike at the pump, with volatility along the Strait of Hormuz and instability in the region pushing crude oil prices into the $90 per barrel range.
