Lebap Province Sees Significant Rise in Oil and Gas Production

Oil and gas production in Turkmenistan's Lebap province increased significantly in the first half of the year. Natural gas output rose by 117.1 million cubic meters to reach a total of 11,986.4 million cubic meters. This represents a 1% increase compared to the same period last year.

The increased production was partly directed towards domestic consumption, ensuring stable supplies for enterprises and households. The remaining volume was exported under existing contracts. Liquefied natural gas output in the region also saw a more than twofold increase during this period.

Oil-producing enterprises in Lebap province followed suit with a nearly 1% rise in production, producing 248,200 tons of crude oil and gas condensate. The Seydi Oil Refinery increased its diesel fuel output by 9%, reaching 68,400 tons. However, gasoline production remained unchanged at 127,400 tons, while bitumen output saw a slight increase of nearly 2.5%.
