Lenovo and MemryX Team Up for Edge AI Deployment in Saudi Arabia
Lenovo and MemryX have partnered to deploy Edge AI solutions in Saudi Arabia as part of the country's Vision 2030 strategy. The partnership combines Lenovo's ThinkEdge SE455 V3 rugged Edge server with MemryX's Cascade 100P AI accelerator, enabling organizations to process video and sensor data locally.
The joint platform has already been deployed in large-scale infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia, including a construction site where it delivers real-time safety analytics. Another deployment is operating in a port environment, running compliance and site-monitoring workloads without disrupting ongoing operations.
Ross Jatou, CEO of MemryX, stated that the partnership demonstrates how quickly his company's technology can be deployed in demanding environments. Salman Faqeeh, vice president of Lenovo in Saudi Arabia, added that there is growing interest from organizations across the country to use AI in practical ways.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aims to support Vision 2030, which seeks to diversify the economy away from oil dependence and establish Saudi Arabia as a technology hub. MemryX raised $44 million in a Series B funding round last year, bringing its total funding to $63 million.
