Libya has secured a significant deal by selling one million barrels of crude oil to India's state-owned Indian Oil Corp at a record premium.

The sale, which marks the highest premium since the Iran war, was executed for delivery in November 2026 and came with a US$23 per barrel markup above Brent prices for October.

This represents the highest spread among four crude grades offered in the tender, indicating strong demand for Libyan heavy crude variants in international markets.
