Libya's Oil Output Surges After Abu Attifel Field Maintenance

The National Oil Corporation (NOC) announced a significant achievement in Libya's oil sector. Mellitah Oil & Gas Company completed maintenance work on well A-24 at the Abu Attifel field, part of the NOC's plan to enhance well efficiency.

The project involved replacing completion equipment and re-perforating producing formations. This resulted in a substantial increase in production performance. Oil output rose from 403 barrels per day to 1,201 barrels per day, an improvement of 798 barrels (approximately 198%). Gas production also increased, rising by nearly 101% from 3.20 million standard cubic feet per day to 6.42 million.

The maintenance work demonstrated stable well performance with a production rate of 1,201 barrels per day and a water cut of 7%. Monitoring and evaluation are ongoing during the stabilization period to ensure optimal production performance is maintained.
