Libya's oil production has returned to normal levels after a brief shutdown at three domestic oilfields, according to Massoud Suleiman, Chairman of Libya's National Oil Corporation (NOC).

The NOC announced on the 16th that members of the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) had closed the valves on the crude oil export pipeline connecting Hamada and Zawiya, halting production at Hamada, Tahara, and NC5.

Chairman Suleiman stated that the impact of the shutdown was limited, with Libya's overall oil production maintained at around 1.4 million barrels per day without major impact.
