Libya's Power Grid Stabilized with Diesel Fuel Supply
The Brega Petroleum Marketing Company in Libya is supplying power stations with diesel fuel to offset natural gas shortages. Gas is the primary source of electricity generation, but when production and supply decline, diesel is used as a backup.
Brega confirmed that large quantities of diesel have recently been directed to power stations to support grid stability. The company acknowledged pressure on diesel supplies, citing challenges faced by the road transport sector and truck operators.
