LNG Canada Expands Kitimat Terminal Capacity by 50%

LNG Canada announced that it will proceed with the Phase 2 expansion project at its liquefied natural gas export terminal in Kitimat, B.C.

The project will double LNG Canada's capacity to 28 million tonnes a year and create thousands of jobs, according to CEO Chris Cooper.

This decision comes after the project was referred to Ottawa's major projects office last year.
