LNG Canada Feedgas Demand Hits Six-Month Low Amid July Repairs

LNG Canada's Kitimat terminal experienced its lowest feedgas demand in six months during July, according to regulatory and Kpler data. The facility drew less natural gas than any other month since January, with export volumes also declining over the same period.

The decrease in exports was attributed to mechanical repairs carried out on the facility in July. Crews worked on replacing a flare tip during the maintenance, which limited the terminal's capacity to process and ship LNG.

During the repairs, only 10 cargoes were exported from the Kitimat terminal in July, marking a significant drop from previous months. The BC pipeline limits also played a role in the reduced exports, as Station 2 was subject to restrictions.
