LNG Prices Dip as Spot Demand Weakens
Spot LNG prices in Northeast Asia saw a slight decline this week, falling 40 cents to $24.90 per million Btu, according to Energy Intelligence assessments. The drop reflects limited spot demand for deliveries scheduled four-to-eight weeks ahead.
Meanwhile, prices in Southwest Europe also decreased, shedding 10 cents week on week to $23.75 per MMBtu. The downward trend in both regions indicates a cooling off in the LNG market, though the exact reasons for the reduced demand were not specified.
