Atlantic LNG rates have surged to $31,500 per day, according to recent data. This sharp increase is noteworthy as it marks a significant jump in just a short period of time.

The market is seeing some notable developments in the LNG sector, with various players making moves to expand their infrastructure and capabilities. Karpowership's Kinetics has announced plans to convert the LNG carrier Arctic Voyager into an FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit), further expanding its fleet of such units.

In a separate deal, Hoegh Evi has partnered with Petros to develop an FSRU-based LNG import terminal in Malaysia's Sarawak state. This project aims to meet the growing demand for LNG in the region.
