LNG Transfer Resumes in Maheshkhali, Gas Supplies Improve
The gas supply situation in Cox's Bazar's Maheshkhali has improved as the transfer of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from a cargo to a floating terminal resumed.
The operations were disrupted on Thursday due to inclement weather, reducing gas supplies. The operations resumed on Friday morning as weather conditions improved, increasing gas supplies from imported LNG.
According to Petrobangla's daily gas supply data, total gas supply stood at 2,525 million cubic feet (mmcfd) at 2pm on Friday, with 1,607 mmcfd coming from domestic sources and 918 mmcfd from imported LNG.
