LNG Unloading Resumes Amid Weather-Related Disruption
The unloading of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at two floating storage and regasification units in the Bay of Bengal resumed on September 25, after a temporary disruption due to adverse weather. State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit announced that the LNG cargoes had resumed gas transfer by 7:18am.
Amit stated that the government expects gas pressure to normalize soon with the resumption of LNG unloading. He added that the gas supply will help in stabilizing the pressure, which was disrupted due to the weather conditions.
