Londian Wason IPO Valued at $2 Billion Amid Electric Vehicle Boom
Londian Wason New Energy Tech's IPO debut on the New York Stock Exchange marks a significant milestone for Chinese companies in the U.S. market. The copper foil maker, based in Shenzhen, was valued at $2.01 billion after raising $94.3 million in its upsized offering, with shares opening at $26 apiece, above their offer price of $22.
This listing is the largest U.S. IPO of a Chinese firm since tea chain Chagee's debut last April, according to Dealogic data. The company's growth prospects are boosted by rising demand for electric vehicles and expanding AI infrastructure, which drives consumption of copper foil, a key component used in lithium-ion batteries and high-performance circuit boards.
Londian Wason makes materials widely used in electric vehicles, 5G communications, consumer electronics, and energy storage systems. However, investors will be watching whether the company can maintain growth while reducing its reliance on a small number of large customers, five of which accounted for about 64% of total revenue in 2025.
