Los Andes Copper Elects to Pay Interest with Common Shares

Los Andes Copper Ltd., an exploration and development company, has elected to issue common shares as payment for interest owing on its US$4 million and US$5 million convertible debentures. The company will pay US$67,495 in interest by issuing 7,281 common shares at a deemed price of US$9.27 per share.

The interest is payable quarterly, with five percent paid in cash and three percent in shares priced at the greater of the 20-day volume weighted average price or the TSX-V Discounted Market Price.

The issuance of common shares remains subject to the terms and conditions of the convertible debentures as well as the receipt of all requisite approvals, including TSX Venture Exchange approval.
