LPG CNG and PNG Prices Rise Across Major Indian Cities October 4
On October 4, the prices of commercial LPG cylinders saw an increase across various cities in India. The cost of a 19-kg commercial cylinder now ranges from ₹2,764.50 in Mumbai to ₹3,065 in Hyderabad. This hike, driven by fluctuations in international crude oil and LPG prices, is expected to impact businesses that rely on LPG for their operations. Meanwhile, the rates for 14.2-kg domestic cylinders remain unchanged, offering some relief to households amid volatile global energy markets.
CNG prices also vary significantly by location, with Delhi at ₹86.98 per kg and Hyderabad at ₹112 per kg. Similarly, PNG prices range from ₹48.40 in Gurugram to ₹57.48 in Chandigarh. These differences are primarily due to local taxes, transportation costs, and other regional factors.
The latest price adjustments come ahead of the festive season, a time when demand for fuel typically rises. The frequency of price revisions for commercial LPG cylinders, unlike domestic ones, reflects the more volatile nature of international energy markets.
