The development was made in collaboration with Mari Energies (MARI), which holds a 30% working interest in the Sukhpur-II Block where the well is situated.

The Lundali-1 well started production on September 6, 2023, and is currently yielding 10 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) of gas at a wellhead pressure of 2,000 pounds per square inch (psi). The produced gas is being supplied to the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).

OGDCL holds a 30% working interest in the Sukhpur-II Block, while Prime Global Energies Limited operates the block with a 25% share. Turkish Petroleum Overseas Company Limited also has a 15% stake in the block.

The commencement of gas production from the Lundali-1 well is expected to contribute additional indigenous gas to Pakistan's national energy supply.
