Malaysia Gas Firms Eye Low-Carbon Hydrogen and BioLNG Opportunities
Natural gas distributor Gas Malaysia has partnered with industrial gases giant Air Liquide to explore low-carbon hydrogen, carbon dioxide capture, and bioLNG opportunities in Malaysia.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed at the Gastech 2026 conference in Bangkok. The partnership aims to leverage Gas Malaysia's market reach and infrastructure advantage with Air Liquide's expertise in industrial gas technologies and engineering.
The agreement provides a platform for both parties to assess potential projects that can bring together their respective strengths. This collaboration is part of the ongoing efforts to reduce carbon emissions and transition towards cleaner energy sources.
