Malaysia Palm Oil Production Surges 7.54% in July
Malaysia's palm oil production rose by 7.54% in July compared to the previous month, according to data from the Malaysian Palm Oil Association (MPOA). The increase was driven by a 12.63% rise in production in Peninsular Malaysia and a 7.78% increase in Sarawak.
The growth in palm oil production is expected to lead to a loosening supply situation, which could put downward pressure on spot prices and futures prices. This would be due to the increased supply, a generally bearish factor for the market.
